About Me

My name is Jill, and horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. With 30 years of hands-on horse experience, I bring a lifelong passion and deep knowledge to every rider and horse I work with. I began riding at a young age on my cousins’ horses — often bareback and with little guidance — which gave me an exceptional foundation of balance, feel, and control. By age 8, I started formal lessons and spent nearly every day at the barn, volunteering and working in exchange for rides. Those formative years taught me not only how to ride but also how to care for horses from the ground up.

Throughout my life, I’ve worked at several farms, eventually becoming a barn manager, trainer, and instructor. I also spent a season in California at an Arabian breeding and show barn, further expanding my experience. Along the way, I had the privilege of training with an Olympian from age 8 until his retirement, while also learning from other trainers and clinicians.

I’ve trained and competed in both English and Western disciplines, with a strong focus on hunter/jumpers, dressage, and barrel racing. While I didn’t have the resources to compete at the highest levels myself, I’ve successfully coached students who have gone on to win top ribbons at shows across the East Coast. My teaching and training style is rooted in patience, clear communication, and building a strong foundation between horse and rider. I work with everything from green horses to experienced show partners, tailoring my approach to meet the individual needs of each horse and rider.

I also offer horse training, including work with green horses, horses with behavioral challenges (once health concerns have been cleared), and horses that simply need their training furthered. My approach emphasizes trust, clear communication, and consistency — creating confident, willing partners both on the ground and under saddle.

Beyond riding and training, I provide a full range of professional equine services, including traveling riding instruction (English & Western) for clients with their own horse, coaching at shows, horse exercising through riding or lunging, professional grooming and body clipping, daily horse care, and horse & pet sitting.

My philosophy is that every horse and rider deserves patience, respect, and a strong foundation of trust. Learning should be safe, positive, and enjoyable, with progress built step by step. Whether I’m teaching a beginner, coaching at a show, or training a horse, I focus on clear communication, consistency, and building confidence.

I promise to provide patient, reliable, and professional care for both horse and rider. My goal is to create a safe, positive learning environment, tailor each session to your needs, and always put the well-being of your horse first. You can count on me to bring dedication, honesty, and genuine passion to every lesson, training session, and service I provide.

I primarily serve Central Florida, from Orlando to Clermont, but I’m available to travel to other areas; travel fees may apply depending on distance.
